The Newcastle board understands that it is necessary to maintain the main cast members for the 2023/24 season, with or without a place in the next Champions League. One of the clubs priorities is to renew the contract of Bruno Guimarães, according to information published by the newspaper The Telegraph.
The current bond of the Brazilian midfielder is valid until June 2026, however, the Magpies want to increase duration and salary. Thats because Real Madrid and Manchester City can offer advantageous proposals from June, when the transfer window opens. The number 39 shirt is valued at 60 million euros (R$ 330 million at current prices), according to Transfermarkt sports transfer site.
The 25-year-old took part in the North East Football Writers Association event, where he was named the 2022 player of the year. runners-up in the English League Cup this season.
